Social Impact

At First People Property Group, we are dedicated to fostering positive change within our community and beyond through innovative practices and processes that benefit our employees, clients, and society as a whole. As an equal-opportunity employer, we uphold the highest standards of ethical business conduct. We celebrate diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that individuals of all genders, races, physical and mental abilities, and religions feel valued and respected. Additionally, we are committed to promoting reconciliation, respect, and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community.

  • MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN RIGHTS

At FPPG, we firmly believe that every individual deserves to be valued and respected, with the fundamental right to determine their own future. We commend the recent enactment of the Modern Slavery Act in Australia and are committed to being a leading voice in our industry for enhancing human rights. Our mission includes advocating for education and actively working to reduce modern slavery within our supply chain.

  • DIVERSITY

At FPPG, we recognise that diversity is essential to our success as a premier services company. By fostering an inclusive workplace, we enhance our relationships with our employees, clients, suppliers, and the communities we serve. Diversity and inclusion are not just core values for us; they serve as a competitive advantage that drives our growth and innovation.

As the daughter of immigrant parents from Greece, Katherine Kavakos is passionate about creating opportunities for a culturally diverse workforce, ensuring that everyone can experience the same advantages she has had in our fortunate country of Australia. Together, we are committed to building a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

  • SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

As an Aboriginal business, we prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility, ensuring our operations respect Earth’s ecosystems while addressing the needs of current and future generations. We have implemented comprehensive environmental policies focused on transparency and are committed to ongoing assessments to reduce our impact in all areas of business, particularly in our cleaning and facility services for high-rise government and commercial buildings across Australia. Through continuous research and the adoption of efficient processes, we aim to minimize our environmental footprint and carbon emissions without compromising service quality, fulfilling our obligation to both efficiency and environmental preservation.

  • COMMUNITY & LOCALISATION

At FPPG, we prioritise not only metropolitan areas but also regional and remote locations. We recognise the vital role of local partners who are the backbone of their communities and have established enduring relationships with our valued clients. By adopting a localisation-focused partnership strategy, we enhance the value of our services and create meaningful social impact throughout our supply chain.

  • SAFETY & WELLBEING

Our vision for workplace safety and well-being is to create a caring culture where our staff and our clients' staff can leave each workday feeling safe and well. Our mission is to instill a culture that integrates the core values of safety and well-being into every business decision. We are committed to supporting, nurturing, and promoting safety and well-being throughout our supply chain and the clients we serve.

Human Impact

At FPPG, we understand that our work has a meaningful impact on lives. We value and honour the personal journeys of those around us, and we are committed to achieving success in business while prioritizing empathy and care for our team.

We believe happier employees will be more energised and productive by fostering a positive and supportive environment, driving our collective success.

Woorabinda Indigenous
Woman’s Shelter

FPPG has been cleaning an Indigenous Woman’s shelter in Woorabinda, a remote rural area in Central Queensland. Its population is under 1000 people and it is an Aboriginal community.

FPPG is proud to be the only cleaning company that has successfully remained as cleaners in the shelter. We are honored to have been able to influence lives and support the community by offering employment to locals – particularly woman.

We have offered flexible working hours to staff as well as supported part time staff into full time roles. We have fostered a culture of inclusion by ensuring our executive team, our client and our workforce collaborate on many issues. There is now greater visibility for supervisors to enable a more efficient and cohesive working relationship.
